Volume/Transmitter: When listening to music, press once, then immediately press the + and - buttons to adjust the volume. In Music mode, press and hold V/T to set up the FM transmitter.
To switch between internal memory and micro-SD card browsing, select Settings > Storage.

Charging & ConneCting to a Computer (turn device on before plugging it in)
When you connect the ARCHOS to your computer, it will connect as an external hard drive, for example `ARCHOS Key (E:)', and start to charge its battery. Once all your file transfers are finished, click on the `safely remove' icon in the system tray, next to the clock. If you get a message saying that the device cannot be removed, close any computer program that may still be using data on your device, such as media players or Windows® Explorer.
putting musiC onto your arChos
You can transfer your music files to the ARCHOS either by copy/pasting them into the ARCHOS using Windows® Explorer (or the Finder on a Mac), or by using Windows Media® Player. The Synchronize button in Windows Media® Player is a one way `sync' button. It will give you the possibility to have the same music on your ARCHOS as you have in your Windows Media® Player library. On your computer, start Windows Media® Player. 1) Select the Sync tab. 2) Drag the music files or albums you want to transfer into the sync area in the panel on the right. 3) Click on the Start Sync button. The selected songs will be copied directly into the ARCHOS. See your Windows Media® Player help instructions for more information.

Press and hold to start a voice recording. In FM mode it will record the current station. Press once to pause/resume the recording. Press and hold to stop and save the recording.
Select the Recordings menu to listen to your recordings.
