Paint Policy
1. Purpose
Logitech is committed to reducing the environmental and social impact of its products and activities.
Solvent-based paints release volatile organic compounds (VOCs), which can contribute to air pollution and smog formation. In addition, certain VOCs from paints can be harmful to workers and have been associated with potential health effects including increased risk of cancer and neurological damage. Paint is used on some
Logitech products to deliver colours and designs that cannot be achieved without it. This policy outlines
Logitech's approach to transitioning from solvent-based paints to water-based alternatives.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all paint used in the manufacture of Logitech products, including those produced by
Logitech's direct suppliers and partners globally. It specifically addresses the transition from solvent-based to water-based paints.
3. Logitech Policy
To mitigate the risks associated with VOCs, Logitech is transitioning away from solvent-based paints and adopting water-based alternatives. This change aims to reduce workplace exposure and environmental impact.

The deadlines for suppliers in China are set earlier due to the greater availability and maturity of suitable water-based paint alternatives in the region.
Exemptions
In cases where suitable water-based paint alternatives are not available due to technical or performance limitations an exemption may be granted. Any such exemption would be considered on a case-by-case basis and subject to the following conditions:
A clear, agreed-upon timeline for reassessment of alternative options will be established.
The expectation will be that the product transitions to water-based paint as soon as suitable alternatives become available.
4. Logitech Requirements
Logitech requires all suppliers and business partners involved in the manufacture of products with painted components to comply with the terms of this policy. Specifically, we require that:
