Introduction
Sony Vegas For 9TM has widened the compatibility with cards and modules to capture video and, in particular, added the support for the AJA IO ExpressTM. The product is an external module to capture 8-bit and 10-bit video from SDI and HDMI sources, besides it is able to preview project via SDI, HMDI or through analogical connections like composite, RGB or Component, all enclosed in a small box suitable to be used on workstation or on field with a laptop. The main feature of IO ExpressTM is the ability to down-scale in real time HD video, performing all conversions in 10-bit via hardware. The product comes in big box, tricking on the effective largeness of IO ExpressTM; the bundle contains: IO ExpressTM PCI-E 1x card (or ExpressCard Exp34) 1mt. PCI-E cable 12v Power Supply CD with PDF user manual and software/driver Registration card
There aren't any video and audio cables included in the bundle.
Product is supplied in two versions: With an internal PCI-E 1x card for workstation With an Express Card Exp34 for notebook
Please note that actual bundle doesn't include an european type power cord, but it is simple to find one thanks to the standard C14 IEC connector, the same used on PC power supplies. The CD supplied in the box, actually, contains only Mac softwares, but new boxes on the market may contains also updated Windows drivers, anyway it is better to visit the AJA website to download most updated softwares and drivers. From an external view, AJA module is a little box with a weight of only 700 g and a dimension of 20,8x13,4 (14,6 including connectors) x4,2cm, this means that is easy to carry it in a bag or to place in rack (it takes 1 rack unit).
